Kielyr Luthi is an EMDR trainer and online trauma therapy specialist.

Hi, I’m Kielyr (pronounced Ky-ler)! I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples who are ready to take a deeper look at their challenges. I support people that are going through major life transitions or challenging life circumstances to find themselves and start feeling less overwhelmed and more capable and good enough. I help to push people out of their comfort zone, and realize that their comfort zone is often a place of anxiety and overwhelm, and we can demand something better, together.

Maybe you’ve been feeling not good enough and want a chance to look more at why that is while also having someone tell you how proud they are of you and the work you have done thus far. Maybe you’ve welcomed a child and it is everything you dreamed it to be, expect for when it isn’t.

I am someone that will find the joy with you, be very real and genuine with you, and someone who strives to make the therapy space a comfortable place where you can be your true authentic self with your true authentic feelings, regardless of what those are.

I am passionate about research and utilizing evidence-based practices in session such as EMDR and Brainspotting. You can expect a lot of support working on things from the past that are keeping you from being the best version of yourself, while also utilizing modalities that are proven to work and are typically gentler on clients. Often clients will come to me after not quite finding what they were hoping for with other therapies.

I take a flexible approach to therapy that starts wherever you are. Do you want to dive right into the past and really work on how that is impacting you? Great, let’s do it. Do you want to slowly ease in and start with small steps, or aren’t even sure what steps come first? Awesome, I can support with that.

I love meeting my clients where they are at while pushing them to where they want to be. I’d love to chat more with you and see if I could be a fit for you and your goals.

Therapy is an investment into yourself and your well-being.

  • We are currently not in-network with any insurance panels and do not work directly with any insurance companies.

    • There are many reasons why advanced practice mental health professionals choose not to take insurance.

    • Approximately 1 in 7 insurance claims get rejected. This leaves individuals with bills that they were not expecting and having to pay out of pocket for.

    • Insurance requires a diagnosis and will only pay for certain diagnoses. This sometimes can lead to over pathologizing clients and providing them with inaccurate diagnoses or services not being covered which can have negative impacts on things like life insurance coverage.

    • Insurance only pays for certain types of therapy. Insurance does not typically cover things like intensives or couple’s therapy.

    • A lot of individuals have high deductible insurance plans. This means that until you meet your deductible, you are paying for services out of pocket.

    • This gives you more control over your session. Insurance companies will not pay for longer sessions or sessions for things that may be under a non-covered condition. Insurance can also request access to your private health information which typically stays part of your permanent health record.

    • We love being able to work directly with clients and not worry about third-party payors.

  • Our clinic can absolutely provide you with a superbill to submit to insurance. A superbill is a form of itemized bill from our practice that has certain coding information that insurances want. Depending on insurance, an individual could get reimbursed for some or all of their costs. We encourage you to call your insurance provider directly to talk to them about your specific coverages. It is common for out-of-network benefits to cover a percentage of services depending on the plan.

  • We require a minimum of 2 business days notice for any cancellations. If you do not cancel your appointment prior to this, or do not show up for your appointment, we do reserve the right to charge you the full cost of your appointment.
